I recently received an email from our Lord Mayor.
The screaming out loud, raucous part was: pedestrian
bridges are very expensive to construct often the order of $10 million plus.
I have walked and seen basic bridges across the
Brooker. It is obvious to me, who’s limit in building is putting up a spice
rack, that all professional builders around Hobart should get into the pedestrian
bridge building business. They will make
a fortune from profligate council expenditure and add many dollars to their
super fund.
