Chapter 216: Norway : words about cruising

The cruise ship looks enormous. A giant lumbering monster.
When aboard the ship it changes. It becomes your home which you carry everywhere. Like a tortoise.

The ship is immaculately clean and tidy. It should be. There are enough staff. They are all neat, tidy and pleasant. They all come from countries where a job on a cruise ship is aspired. None from Australia or Norway.

The passengers are mainly from the USA. Second place to us Aussies. Mainly retired grandparents who Face Time their grandchildren, count their steps, update their Facebook page and send vacuous emails.

On the cruise ship you submit passively. Your excursion are all organised for you. You follow a guide who shows you what he thinks is important.
Back on the ship you eat whatever food they have cooked. You eat everything on the plate and then say that was too much. You then blame the cruise for putting on weight.
