Dinner in the desert beside the rock. Billy tea and baked beans are not on the menu. We sit at tables with tablecloths, knifes, forks, plates and glasses of wine. Which are constantly filled.
The food doesn’t
match the desert, the rock, the night sky. The food would be at home in a
restaurant in a big city. Luxurious fine dining in the desert. Our environment
(the desert; the rock; the sky) surround and dominates us. Our table chat seems
miniscule and irrelevant.
After dessert in
the desert the lights are turned off and an expert on stars points at and talks
about the stars which are lower and brighter than normal. His pointer reaches
up and touches the stars. The real-life planetarium is amazing.
